Applying Wall Paint in 3 Steps

For a durable and professional finish on walls and ceilings, follow these three essential steps.

1. Clean & Prepare

Good preparation ensures a long-lasting result.

Preparing the surface

  • Fill cracks and holes with suitable filler and sand smooth.
  • Remove dust and dirt with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • Clean with mild soapy water, avoiding aggressive cleaners.
  • Allow the surface to dry completely and be dust-free before painting.

Extra tip: On new or highly absorbent walls and plasterboard, always apply Primer & Fixer first to ensure an even finish.

2. Check the conditions

Proper conditions guarantee the best result.

Painting conditions

  • Do not paint below 10 °C or above 85% relative humidity.
  • Ensure good ventilation indoors.
  • Avoid painting in direct sunlight or draughts.

Storage & use

  • Store paint between 5 °C and 30 °C.
  • Stir thoroughly for consistent colour and coverage.

3. Paint & Finish

Correct application ensures the best look and protection.

Applying the paint

  • Use a brush, roller or spray gun.
  • Apply at least two thin coats for best coverage.
  • Respect drying times between coats.
