Primer & Sealer – Balances absorption, improves adhesion

Primer & Sealer is a transparent acrylic-based primer for preparing absorbent substrates. Ideal as the first coat under wall paint or other finishes for an even, smooth coverage.

Application

Primer & Sealer is suitable for use on various porous and absorbent substrates such as:

  • Concrete floors and walls (new or existing, untreated)
  • Plaster and stucco (absorbent walls and ceilings)
  • Textured plaster and spack surfaces (grainy substrates)
  • Masonry (brick, sand-lime brick)
  • Plasterboard and gypsum blocks
  • Hardboard and porous sheet material

Not suitable for non-absorbent substrates such as glass, metal or plastic.

How to use Primer & Sealer?

CLEAN • CHECK • PRIME

Clean
Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from grease. Remove loose parts and dust. Fill cracks or holes with suitable filler and sand smooth.

Check
Check the conditions: do not apply at temperatures below 10 °C or at relative humidity above 85%. The substrate must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.

Prime
Apply Primer & Sealer thinly and evenly with brush or roller. Avoid film formation on the surface, as this can reduce adhesion of the finishing coat. Allow to dry, then finish with wall paint or exterior latex.
